Drunken Watermelon

Ingredients

• 1 large ripe watermelon, about 4 pounds
• 1 bottle of rum

Recipe Steps

Step 1: Cut 3 holes, each about 1-inch in diameter and 2 inches deep, in the top of the watermelon and pour in as much rum as you can. Set it aside to macerate for 1 hour.

Step 2: Cut into slices and serve.

• Patience

Are you having a party, and looking for an alternative way of serving booze to your guests? Make a drunken watermelon! All you need is two ingredients, and a day of patience. If needed, upscale the ingredients as many times as needed.

Kitchen equipment needed

• Small paring knife

Preparation — 5 minutes

Cut a square hole in the watermelon, then smash in the bottle of wodka. The nozzle of the bottle should not be in (full) contact with the watermelon, otherwise the wodka won’t be absorbed as well. DONE! Wait for 24 hours before serving.

You’ll have to wait 1 whole day (!) for the wodka to infuse with the watermelon. Just place it somewhere dark and cool, after 24 hours the liquor should be fully absorbed by the watermelon.
